  • British Weights and Measures Association
    BWMA exists to protect and promote traditional (non-metric) units of measurement. As such, we represent companies using inch-pound designs and labelling. We are currently campaigning against the European Commission's proposal to have "metric only" packaging from December 31st 2009.
  • Consuming Industries Trade Action Coalition
    The Consuming Industries Trade Action Coalition, or "CITAC", is committed to the development of US trade policy that is consistent with the needs of America's consuming industries. We believe that the spirit of free and open competition makes our economy the most successful in the world.
  • DC Business Connections
    DC Business Connections is the District of Columbia's corporate relations/business retention program, which is designed as a link between the business community and the DC Government. Through DC Business Connections, participating Washington-based companies have the opportunity to establish a unique communication forum with the Government of the District of Columbia to address important issues associated with conducting business in the District. 

    Run by the Washington, DC Marketing Center, DC Business Connections manages a team of Corporate Relations Specialists who meet with local CEOs to learn more about their businesses, their opinions on city services, and to tell them about business incentives that are available for them.

  • Federation of International Trade Associations (FITA)
    FITA, founded in 1984, fosters international trade by strengthening the role of local, regional and national associations throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada that have an international interest. FITA affiliates are 450 independent international associations. This site has a list of FITA Members, "Really Useful Sites for International Trade Professionals," our biweekly newsletter for international trade professionals, 4000+ international trade web resources and Articles for running an international trade business.

    The Inter-American Economic Council is a vanguard integrating regional actors from a wide cross section of the Hemisphere.   • NAFTAconnect
    NAFTAconnect is dedicated to connecting companies, organizations and individuals excited about the NAFTA marketplace. www.naftaconnect.com is the place on the internet for finding and publicizing those who want to expand their opportunities in the NAFTA marketplace. The Web site is completely bilingual. All pages have both English and Spanish versions, that can be accessed by simply clicking on the US or Canadian flags for the English version or the Mexican flag for the Spanish version.

    The Organization of Women in International Trade is a non-profit professional organization designed to promote women doing business in international 
    trade by providing networking and educational opportunities.
  • The National Association of Foreign-Trade Zones (NAFTZ)
    The National Association of Foreign-Trade Zones (NAFTZ) is a non-profit organization composed of public entities, individuals and corporations involved in the U.S. Foreign-Trade Zones program. The NAFTZ Promotes the use of the Foreign-Trade Zones program to facilitate and increase the global competitiveness of U.S. based companies.

  • The United States Chamber of Commerce
    The United States Chamber of Commerce is the world's largest federation of businesses, chambers of commerce, American chambers overseas and trade and professional associations, and is America's principal advocate for the American business community. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce was founded in April 1912 at the request of President William Howard Taft who believed there should be a single voice to speak for the entire business community of the nation. Take a moment to read about the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Headquarters Building, located in Washington, DC, across from the White House. The site includes information about existing Employment and Internships in a variety of fields.

  • Zonta Itnernational
    This is a club for businesswomen many of whom are professionals or entrepreneurs. Zonta is very active in East Asia, with active chapters in Hong Kong, Taipei, and Singapore, in particular. They usually have monthly luncheon meetings with a speaker on a current topic.
