James Wilkinson joined WITA as Executive Director in 2003. He is committed to growing the WITA membership base by continuing WITA's programming tradition of offering timely topics and compelling speakers. Prior to joining WITA, Mr. Wilkinson managed business development for the Association for International Practical Training (AIPT), and has managed customer relations for several other international and educational organizations. Mr. Wilkinson has a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Maryland at College Park, as well as a BS in Education from Frostburg State University in Frostburg, MD. He recently completed his Masters of Organizational Leadership through Gonzaga University. (Dec. 2008.)James serves as Mayor Pro Tem for the Town of Berwyn Heights, MD.
James is the proud father of 3 children-son Taj, & daughters Anya and baby Kira. He enjoys spending time with his wife Nipa and their family, lazy time playing in Sleepy Creek (WV), hammock testing, gardening, coaching and playing soccer, and a quiet cup of chai now and then....when he can find the time.
Fun Fact: James has always gone by "James", not 'Jim'!

Javiera Gallardo Gorokhov joined WITA as Program Coordinator in 2009. Mrs. Gallardo Gorokhov is committed to expanding WITA’s mission of providing a neutral forum for the discussion of international trade policy. Prior to joining WITA, Mrs. Gallardo Gorokhov worked with Coalition of Service Industries (CSI) and at the Embassy of Chile. Additionally she was a business consultant at various public and private organizations while working at Grant Thornton LLP. Mrs. Gallardo Gorokhov holds a BS in Finance and minor in International Systems from George Mason University and is completing an International Development Certificate at Johns Hopkins SAIS. She speaks English and Spanish fluently and is working on learning Russian and French.
