Event Description
Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) will outline his
views of the 2009 trade agenda and discuss the
Trade Reform Accountability, Development, and
Employment (TRADE) Act he introduced in the
110th Congress and plans to re-introduce this
year.
Senator Brown is chairman of the Subcommittee
on Economic Policy in the Senate Banking,
Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee and serves
on the Health, Education, Labor, Pensions
Committee. Senator Brown was elected in 2006
after serving 7 terms in the U.S. House of
Representatives. He is the author of 'Myths of
Free Trade' (2004).
