Event Description
The United States and Colombia have
historically had strong economic, geopolitical
and security ties which have deepened over the
last decade. In the area of trade and
investment, Colombia continues to actively
pursue the objective of opening new markets,
and remains committed to the earliest
implementation of the Free Trade Agreement
signed with the United States. The Minister of
Trade, Industry and Tourism of Colombia, Luis
Guillermo PLATA, will present Colombia’s
trade and investment promotion agenda, and
discuss the importance of the United States in
this context.
