Parties of Concern? Dealing with the BIS Denied Party, Entity and Unverified Lists Webinar

Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 1:00 PM - 12:00 AM (EST)

This webinar will focus on the nuts and bolts of the Commerce Department blacklists:  The Denied Party, the Entity and Unverified Lists. Expert instructor Timothy O’Toole will review the policy bases for these lists, the restrictions they impose on the listed parties, the compliance obligations they create, what to do if a company learns that it has not complied with these compliance obligations, how to conduct and manage investigations related to these violations, and navigating the process for removal from these lists. The main points of emphasis will be the increased importance of these lists in this era of global trade enforcement, identifying specific tips for compliance with these rules, and identifying common pitfalls or traps for the unwary in this area.

The Export Compliance Training Institute is pleased to announce that Timothy P. O’Toole will lead this webinar. Between his time at Miller & Chevalier and his time in government service, Mr. O’Toole has been conducting and leading large-scale defense investigations for over 20 years. Although Mr. O’Toole has substantial experience in all areas of white collar practice, his main focus is on economic sanctions and export controls.
