2021 WITA/WITF Annual Awards Dinner

On October 20, 2021, WITA/WITF held their 2021 Annual Dinner, where they honored leaders in international trade: House Ways & Means Committee Chair Richard Neal; House Ways & Means Committee Ranking Member and former Chair Kevin Brady; Ambassador Rufus Yerxa, the former Deputy United States Trade Representative, Deputy Director General of the WTO, and President of the National Foreign Trade Council; and Florie Liser, President and CEO of the Corporate Council on Africa, and former Assistant USTR for Africa. Ambassador Susan Schwab, America’s 15th United States Trade Representative was the Master of Ceremonies. The event also featured remarks by Congresswoman Suzan DelBene and Congresswoman Jackie Walorski.

WITA was proud to present its 2021 Lighthouse Award to Florizelle (Florie) Liser, the President and CEO of the Corporate Council on Africa, and the former Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for Africa. The Lighthouse Award is presented in recognition of the contributions an individual has made over the course of his/her career to trade policy, the understanding of global trade, and expanding the benefits of global trade.
